Duplex

Hot Looks for Summer

Began as a recording project in 2000 with drummer Randy Guss (Toad the Wet Sprocket), guitarist Rob Taylor, and producer/engineer Craig Costigan, Duplex is a classic “two guitars-bass-and-drums” ensemble that has garnered comparisons to Fountains of Wayne, The Replacements, and the Beatles. Jason Bays (The Spires) came aboard on bass and vocals for 2003’s Hot Looks for Summer and 2006’s Soft Focus, adding even more variety to an already eclectic indie-rock mix.

FUN FACT: Yes, that really is Duplex (with Rob Taylor on drums) playing a punk-lite version of “White Christmas” in 2005’s mega-budget family comedy “Christmas with the Kranks”.
